In Case of Rain... Or Zombies

In Case of Zombies...

Don't leave your house without a shotgun, baseball bat, or chainsaw. Claymores and katanas are also acceptable. Lightsabers, if available, must be in limb-severing working order.

If you do not have the means to protect yourself against a possible legion of the undead, we'll understand if you are late to the reception. Best of luck!

If you do have the means to cap some zombie ass, then please still join us - we could use the help with warding off the unliving uninvited.

In Case of Inclement Weather...

We may decide to move the ceremony location. This decision will be made by 1:30pm the day of the wedding.

To let you know what decision was made we will:

1) Place a notice on the homepage of this blog saying which weather plan we are using

2) Notify our PhoneTree Peeps:
- Herbert Rea
- Carmen Engleman

On the day of the wedding: If you cannot access the blog page, please call the cellphone of one of our Phonetree members. If you do not know anyone on the Phonetree, contact either Groomzilla or his Bride before the wedding to obtain the appropriate contact number.

We have 3 Weather Plans

Plan Alpha: In Event of Overcast or Drizzly Skies
  • Go To: Lower Falls Lawn, in preparation for walk to Original Ceremony Site
  • At: 2:00
  • Bring: An Umbrella and a Sense of Adventure
  • Because: If there is a gathering of grey clouds and only little bit of drizzle or occasional rain, we are going to get married at the base of the falls as originally planned.

Plan Beta: In Event of Moderate Meh-Inducing Rain

  • Go To: The Falls Overlook, the Alternate Ceremony Site. GPS Location is: 42.538481,-76.607897 (Click for link to Google Maps)
  • At: 2:30
  • Bring: An Umbrella, Water-proof shoes and a Sunny Disposition
  • Because: The parking lot for the Falls Overlook is large and immediately adjacent to the Overlook itself, it is perfect for jumping out of the car, hustling to the overlook, getting married right quick, and then jumping back in the cars to head for a nice dry reception.

Plan Charlie: Absolute Down-Pour Dreariness
  • Go To: North Point Pavilion
  • At: 2:00
  • Bring: Yourself
  • Because: The lakeside Pavilion is weather-proof for everything short of a hurricane. So if all else fails, we will get married in front of the fireplace with the water safely outside.
